Thomson Matter Referred to Privileges

Media release Tonight, the Opposition successfully moved that the question of whether the Member for Dobell deliberately misled the House of Representatives in his statement of May 21, 2012 be referred to the Parliament’s Privileges Committee for its consideration.
The Opposition has maintained that it is uniquely a matter for the Parliament to determine its own actions and protect the integrity of the institution.
The public expects us to do no less.
