Rudd walks both sides of the Carbon Tax street
Kevin Rudd is walking both sides of the street on the Carbon Tax.
On the one hand Mr Rudd and his Ministers are letterboxing electorates claiming they have ‘terminated’ the Carbon Tax.
On the other hand, Mr Rudd is telling ABC TV audiences that there “must be a price on carbon”:
“On the pricing of carbon, as we have said in these forums over and over again, our policy is clear. There must be a price on carbon if you are going to act on climate change. It is a lay down misere.”
(Q&A, 2 September 2013)
Once again Mr Rudd is walking both sides of the street – telling people through their letterboxes that the Carbon Tax has been abolished but telling a Q&A audience the exact opposite.
So which is it Mr Rudd: have you terminated the Carbon Tax or do you still expect households to foot the bill for your price on carbon?
