CAE will be better positioned to support the Australian Defence Force and armed forces around the world following today’s official opening of their new Canberra Office, which will become their business development and strategy hub for Australia.

Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP welcomed CAE’s commitment to further build on the close relationship between CAE and Defence.

“CAE Australia has a long and successful relationship with Defence, with almost 300 staff supporting Australian Defence Force training in more than 20 sites around the country,” Minister Pyne said.

“It’s great they are establishing a footprint here in Australia to really drive their support for the ADF to the next level,”

“CAE Australia is a recognised and capable training systems integrator. They support a range of Defence platforms, including helping use simulation-based training to cost-effectively enhance safety and readiness.

“CAE has made Australia the headquarters of its activities for the Asia-Pacific region. This demonstrates the competitiveness of Australia’s defence industry in the region,” Minister Pyne said.

The Australian Government is committed to invest $200 billion in Defence capabilities over the next 10 years. This investment will provide significant opportunities for Australian defence industry to develop and sustain the high-end capabilities the ADF needs to maintain its capability edge.
