Caught out? Found out? Exposed? Try a Ruddy-made excuse

21 Aug 2013 Media release

Today the Liberal Party is releasing a website with Kevin Rudd’s favourite responses to dodge responsibility for waste and mismanagement or avoid accountability for Labor’s failed policies. The website provides an excuse for every difficult question you may receive. Kevin Rudd has become an expert at peddling falsehoods and fudges, daily rolling out a repertoire of excuses to avoid taking responsibility for Labor’s failures. Mr Rudd promised ‘A New Way’ but instead all we’ve seen are the same old lies and excuses. Common Ruddy-made excuses include: ‘I was in receipt of no such advice’, ‘the National Secretary will look at that as well’, ‘these are deliberations for the Cabinet’, ‘I’m aware of the history of that and I’ll leave it to others’, ‘I’m not about to rake over decisions that were taken or not taken in the past’, ‘detailed programmatic specificity’ and everybody’s favourite: ‘I’ve got to zip!’. This election is the clearest choice in a generation. It is a choice between a truly united Coalition with our Real Solutions Plan or another three years of more Labor chaos, division and dysfunction. Only the Coalition has a Plan to build a strong, prosperous economy and a safe, secure Australia. The Coalition offers real change and will deliver a genuinely united government and a better future – for all Australians To visit Ruddy-made excuses go to www.liberal.org.au/ruddymade 21 August 2013
