$500,000 to transform Payneham Oval Precinct

Federal Member for Sturt, the Hon Christopher Pyne today announced a $500,000 upgrade of the Payneham Oval Clubrooms.

The funding will transform Payneham Oval into a modern community recreation and sporting facility.

“This is a fantastic project for our community and one that I am thrilled to be able to deliver for the families of Payneham, Trinity Gardens and surrounding suburbs,” Mr Pyne said.

“This project will provide a safe, accessible and highly functional community sporting facility which will benefit many of my constituents and local schools,” he said.

The Payneham Oval Clubrooms upgrade will include:

• Structural modifications to the existing building to install a lift

• Disabled access

• Disabled toilets at ground and upper floors

• Air-conditioning upgrade

• Solar panels

• Improved handrails and stairs to improve safety

• Lighting upgrade

• Exterior aesthetic upgrade
