$1 million grant for St Joseph's School

28 Jan 2015

Since 1987 the Commonwealth Government has supported non-government schools with capital grants for infrastructure improvements and in the last round St Joseph’s School in Hectorville has being awarded a $1 million grant under the Commonwealth Government’s Capital Grants Programme (CGP).

The funding for non-government primary and secondary schools is to improve capital infrastructure where schools otherwise may not have access to sufficient capital resources.

This grant will be used to improve classroom blocks for the year five and six classes.

The Liberals are massively increasing school funding over the next four years for both government and non-government schools now providing a record $64.5 billion in recurrent funding for education.
